This week I received the "Classic Albums: Damn The Torpedoes" DVD that I bought from Tom Petty's web site. I know that this DVD was mentioned here last year, but for those who haven't seen or heard of this DVD it's something I would highly recommend to Petty fans. Aside from Tom, Mike, Benmont, Jimmy Iovine and Shelly Yakus going through each of the songs off that album, there is a section in the Bonus Materials where Mike talks about the iconic 12-string from the DTT cover - he says that it was the best $150 he ever spent!
If you've seen "Runnin' Down A Dream" you'll recognize some of the film footage, but nonetheless this DVD is worth owning.

Re: Classic Albums: Damn The Torpedoes DVD
I have watched this a few times, not only for the Rickenbacker content but also for the segment where Tom, Mike, and Jimmy Iovine
sit behind the console and walk thru guitar tracking for Refugee and Here Comes My Girl. I can't get enough of that kind of stuff.
The whole Classic Albums DVD series is pretty great IMO.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I'll have to check that out. Love Runnin Down a Dream.
