Re: 15,000 Instruments In The Register
I think that I still have some old copies of eBay ads etc. with serial number info that could be entered ... if I ever find the file!

Re: 15,000 Instruments In The Register
As I have been cleaning out old stacks of papers, I have found some of these lists of old auctions and ads. I have added 29 (new) collected items so far to the Register, mostly limited editions.doctorwho wrote:I think that I still have some old copies of eBay ads etc. with serial number info that could be entered ... if I ever find the file!

Gary your efforts are duly noted and much appreciated. It is through efforts such as yours that we have developed a most interesting and informative database.

SN 1103414 is not in the database here at the RRF. But you can add it...
If you sent in the warranty card to RIC it will be in their database, which is private and not searchable by the public.
To add your instrument to the register -
Making sure you are logged in, click the "Rickenbacker register" tab on the right - just below terms of use.
Once you are on the register page click "add a new record".
You will get a menu that asks for details about the instrument.
Start with the Serial number.
type in the numbers 11 03414
Leave the date above the SN blank - the register will fill that in for you.
Fill in the details of your guitar - ie 360, 12 string in Mapleglo finish
Add some images of the guitar if you can. We like looking at pictures of them!
Any problems send Peter (admin) or Gil (gibsonlp) a private message and they will sort it for you!
Here are the other instruments made the same week as yours already in the register..
http://www.rickresource.com/register/in ... 34&order=5
BTW there are more then 21400 instruments registered now - that is a long way from the 15000 when this thread was started!

Re: 15,000 Instruments In The Register
Is there any way to tell what the most unique regular production item in the register is?

Sorry, but that sounds like an oxymoron to me.Electrostring wrote:... the most unique regular production item ....
Could you be more specific about you mean by that? For example, are you referring to the number of instruments, or the color of finish for a particular model, or ...?

Really?doctorwho wrote:Sorry, but that sounds like an oxymoron to me.
Not to me... e.g. Gibson Custom once had a regular production model which was a '58 Les Paul with belly scarf. Only produced if ordered, but still a regular item... they build only 4 of that one, which makes it the most unique regular production item of that year or maybe even several years! Of most special orders 5 pcs were made in those years even! A regular item is a pricelist item, offered as is, not a prototype, nor limited edition, nor special order. Some regular items might have been build in thousands and sold as many yet haven't survived in big numbers due to various reasons. Having one of those might be the unique regular production unit!

You can add them to the register by clicking on the register tab and then clicking "add new instrument". Fill in the details, add soem images if possible and hit "submit".yabbadehut wrote:I don't think i did add my serial numbers of my 2 4001's ? can i give them?
If they are already in the register as collected items (or put there by their previous owner) then you need to send a PM to Peter (ADMIN) to have the record assigned to your RRF account.
Almost 26,000 instruments there now - more then 11,000 more since when this thread was started.

Re: 15,000 Instruments In The Register
I'm still waiting to get one added to my records... and somehow I am not able to add images to collected items anymore so it will have to wait until someone wakes up
