LARRY DAVIS (DGW)

Post by jingle_jangle »

Yesterday I received a note from Larry announcing his retirement and relocation from Georgia to Florida.

After 40 years in the architectural profession, Larry will be devoting his energies to Rickenbacker restoration and refinishing. This is good news for us all, (especially Larry, I'm sure!).

Although Larry and I have been emailing back and forth for a number of years now, I had the pleasure of meeting him at SCARF (80) last August and we had a single brief conversation there. Larry's a great guy to know, and his energy and enthusiasm for all things Rickenbacker is obvious to anyone who comes into contact with him.

I'd like to be the first to congratulate Larry and wish him the best of luck in his new career and location!

Congratulations Larry. Enjoy your retirement in Florida. I wish I could join you in retirement mode in Florida but I have to work a few more years it would seem. :D

Larry is an awesome guy, who I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times in this neck of the woods. It's great news for all of us that he will be doing guitars full time! :)
Great Ramp In My Opinion.

Very funny  We did talk, and it is scheduled to go to him after school is over in May.

Yes, Larry is an awesome guy. I enjoyed getting to meet him at SCARF '11/80 and he really knows his stuff. He showed me pictures of a guitar in a situation worse than mine that he managed to make sing again. Happy retirement, Larry, it only gets better from here! 8)

Holy cow a major life event! Congrats Larry - you made it out alive!

Now with all these guys in FLA-la-la land a mid-winter confluence can't be far off
