Another Byrds classic from Studio Z--"Tribal Gathering"

Post by vynesmusic »

"Notorious Byrd Brothers" is my favorite Byrds album, and this song, one of many faves on the album.

Who knew Michael Clarke was a JAZZ drummer.....

That's me again on vocals, full drums, 2 Rick 12s, an acoustic, a LOUD Strat and a P-bass....

You cats on Jim's Byrds forum are the toughest audience I could ax for...have at it...hope you enjoy :D

Tribal Gathering is one of my favourites as well. The strength of the song is not Roger's 12 string, but rather the almost hypnotic meolody line. It reminds me of 'I See You' on 5D in that it is not folk rock or something from Bob Dylan. I remember thinking of Tribal Gathering and I see You as being, 'Wow, that is certainly out of the box for the Byrds!'.
