Is there a photo of one without the compressor are the control knobs and switch the same, i.e can you look at one
without playing it or taking it apart and tell if it has the compressor or not? thanks in advance!

Here's a photo of a 370-12 RM without the onboard compressor-
no compressor
no compressor
And here's one with the onboard compressor -
with compressor
with compressor
The main visual difference is the no-compressor version has the small "blend" knob at the bottom; the compressor version has 5 "regular" knobs with no V/T labels on the silver inserts. Plus the placement of the knobs is different. Because the compressor is one unit including potentiometers, the placement of the control knobs is fixed and can't be "moved around" like the controls of a regular wiring harness. The compressor version requires a different bottom pickguard than a "normal" 370-12.

Another slight visual difference is the 3-way switch -- smaller on the compressor version, longer "baseball bat" switch on the regular version
