The gold on that ruby sure is something else. Ruby didn't move me much until I saw this. Absolutely fantastic.
You know I got a sense of something more with this color when I looked at Kevin's photos, particularly the last photo. That photo, unlike any other I've seen, showed me that there a lot is more to the paint than I thought. The light on the back of the neck made the ruby color glow and sparkle and shine in a spectacular manner. I now see that when the light hits that ruby in a certain way the color looks almost radioactive!
