Markbass Super Booster

Post by marc61 »

Anyone have experience with these?

http://www.markbass.it/product_detail.php?id=117

I was thinking of picking it up for when I use my electric upright directly into the board, and it can also double as a DI box for other situations.

If you have other recommendations, keep in mind the price range (new these are $129)

I have no experience with the Markbass Super Booster, but I absolutely love this on my Eminence:

I had good results with this http://www.gollihurmusic.com/product/14 ... IFIER.html

I use an Eminence upright also.

I suggest you read this article on the same site regarding impedance matching. http://www.gollihurmusic.com/faq/11-PRE ... ICKUP.html

You need to look at the specs of your EUB pickup's output impedance. If it's high (1 Mohm+) your EUB will sound thin and tinny if you plug directly into the board without a proper preamp.

I ended up getting the Fishman BII for now. No frills but, I used it for a gig and got lots of sound compliments so, something must be right about it

That's all that matters. Glad it worked out.

I have the Super booster. I bought it a volume booster for my B100R and absolutely LOVE the filters. dont even use the boost. itsounds good with my Ric but it makes my Stienberger sound so thick and crunchy.

I like that filter so much I bought a Mark Bass 1X15 Jeff Berlin signature combo amp. I dont know who Jeff Berlin is but he doesnt like tweeters, so this amp doesnt have one. I could see him getting a signature model if his last name was Mussolini but Berlin! WTH???

anyway, the super booster into a 100 watt Ampeg B100R is great. I cannot describe the sound but I dont like playing without it anymore
