Thanks all, for kind comments about messy playing!
One mildly interesting footnote is that both basses have the same strings on them with about the same amount of playing time on both...
They both play well, Hannibal however has the upper hand in stability due to its over construction...

To me Hannibal sounded more like a Rick than the Rick. The 4008 sounded too reticent in comparison. Nice playing, BTW. After a couple songs on an 8 I'll bet the fretting hand needs a rest.
