Some login trouble: anybody else, too?

Since two weeks it is strange: Although I clicked the checkbox "Login each visit" I have to log in again very often.
Is this intended, now?

No problems for me. Make sure you have cookies enabled since this is how the site "remembers" things...

Cookies are enabled - it was never changed.
Other phpBB based forums I visit do not have this effect. And it is only since two weeks. Strange.
I remember somebody else here with a similar problem. IIRC a mod/ admin pleased for such an information. Unfortunately I could not find again the thread it was in.
Additional information: I use a Mac and an ad-blocker. - Both much longer than two weeks...
