Thanks Kira!

Still rockin', the 3 pickup ES-175 & RM 1999, after all these years. They'll be here in four days, can't wait to see them and hear the new CD live. My sources tell me that Jon Davison is doing a great job and fitting in nicely. :D

Nice pic,Kira! I found a Youtube of them performing "america" with Jon Davison, and it sounded really good, including the vocals. I am going to have to think about whether i want to drive to San Jose to see them in a few weeks.

Not sure, Jeff. I know Steve had one made custom with 3 pickups so that he could leave the ES-5 Switchmaster at home & still have the 3 pickup "gulpy" sound (his word, not mine). Don't recall this ever being available, but perhaps - I know the SH signature 175 is a two pup model.

Cool pic! Thanks!
I too have been hearing excellent feedback about the newest leg and especially, Jon's singing.
I am looking forward to seeing them in August.

Our little God Child is sleeping soundly in the next room. I'll post some pics after tonight's show in Munhall (Pittsburgh) PA.

I saw YES tonight for the first time. Great show! And, I have never been a fan! Being live help put the music over to me. It had a calming soothing effect mentally and physically. Cool to see Squire's RIC. Thumb rest removed. Red silk Rotosounds? Squire's hands are LARGE. This made the RIC look like a 3/4 size bass. Ha! Does he run Rick-O-Sound/stereo to his amps' setup to get the click? I was also surprised that he wasn't much of a pinky player. 90% 1st & 3rd fingers. Quite an experience. Broadened my horizons.

The show in Pittsburgh last night was phenomenal.

Forty years I've been listening to these guys and I still had no idea what was coming...

This visit with the Squires is one I won't soon forget and the concert will be buzzing in my head for weeks. Donna and I took Xi to Kennywood Park, where I've been going since I was a small child. The park boasts some of the best coasters in the country, but I never knew that the best day I'd ever spend there would be in Kiddieland. Life can throw you some amazing curve balls & every now & then you can still hit one out of the park. What a day!

I don't reveal set lists, so I'll just say -They went deep and didn't come up for air or miss a single note. Not One. The show was as near perfection as I've ever seen. Two thousand fans sounded more like twenty thousand by the end. Every one at that theatre was into the show 100%. What an evening! Sorry, didn't snap any pics at the show. Too mesmerized!

Procol Harum was pretty damn good, too! :D
