Hi, I picked up a Tennessee Rose yesterday, so the 5120 has to go. The guitar was made in 2010 and I bought it in the Fall. It's been used for recordings only and has no dings, scratches, or issues. It's completely stock. It comes with a new hardshell Gretsch case. The protective plastic is still on the pickguard (what can I say...). The guitar will be packed in the original Gretsch carton. $550 plus shipping to lower 48. Thanks. Tom

Hi Peter, Not really much to tell, so far. I was going to wait until my 5120 sold before picking up a TR, but I found one that was priced right and wasn't too old (Nov, 2008). It was strung with flats and I haven't gotten around to changing them yet. The story (told by the father) was that the kid is going away to college and needs the money; doesn't want to lug the guitar. He was using it to play jazz. The kid is now borrowing the old man's Les Paul until he leaves for school. The family lives in a VERY high rent district in SoCal and I figured that boded well for the condition of the guitar. The guitar is in great (nearly new) condition. As an extra bonus (apparently from a forgetful son), there was a condom in the Gretsch case candy bag. I will save time for the RRF comedians and say that (fortunately) the condom was in completely new condition.

My hope is that the kid was not working on a new style of slide playing. But......, that might also be the reason for the flatwounds.
Maybe now the kid and his SO will use the rhythm method. Looks like my 5120 will need to go to the Land of Craig.

Price dropped to $500 plus shipping for a mint 2010 G5120 and a new Gretsch hardshell case.
