Just wondering if that '63 360/12 is the Suzie Arden guitar?

I see a few very nice guitars here......quite a collection.
Are we seeing all that there is (a page) or is this something that will be more revealing, i.e. more detailed pics of the guitars pictured..?
As always, I am quite curious as to what I see before me.

Josh, this is a great collection! Don't let anyone bring you down about modding the Arden guitar, I'd say you improved it! Great collection, this is perfect to look at by a Beatlefreak like myself!

Where is the 425 that you have?

I'd say you wouldn't know the difference.IvanMunoz wrote: Don't let anyone bring you down about modding the Arden guitar, I'd say you improved it!

Hey, let's make the first Ric 12 string to look like #2! Good lord...IvanMunoz wrote: Don't let anyone bring you down about modding the Arden guitar, I'd say you improved it!

Ivan, no offense, but you have no clue as to what has been done to history, here. The Suzie Arden guitar was a major bit of Rickenbacker history, that no longer exists, essentially.IvanMunoz wrote:Don't let anyone bring you down about modding the Arden guitar, I'd say you improved it!

Aesthetically, Yes. And it is all reversible, so its no big deal, he bought the guitar, its his to mod.collin wrote:I'd say you wouldn't know the difference.IvanMunoz wrote: Don't let anyone bring you down about modding the Arden guitar, I'd say you improved it!
After all, The Beatles did some crazy mods to their guitars too. Painting, swapping parts, just having fun and bringing others enjoyment with their music.
Josh is bringing others enjoyment with his preservation of The Beatles, these are the closest instruments to the real deal, so I say he did something great!

None taken, I respect your opinion, after all Rickenbacker did invent the electric guitar and the electric 12 string, this was the precourser to George's guitar and all 12 string electrics ever. But on the other hand, The Beatles have had the biggest (pop) cultural impact in all of the 20th century. And it is reversible. Now it can be played with out worrying about scratching original parts too, its a win win.jps wrote:Ivan, no offense, but you have no idea what has been done to history, here.IvanMunoz wrote:Don't let anyone bring you down about modding the Arden guitar, I'd say you improved it!
Re: So, may we introduce to you...TheBeatlesGear.com
Sorry, but the first Rickenbacker 12 string guitar far outstrips the second 12 string guitar made by Rickenbacker in significance, no matter who owned and played it.IvanMunoz wrote:None taken, I respect your opinion, after all Rickenbacker did invent the electric guitar and the electric 12 string, this was the precourser to George's guitar and all 12 string electrics ever. I personally disagree, in the Rickenbacker communtity I can see that, but it the grand sceme of things (The general public) this makes the guitar more signifigant, IMO. The guitar itself may have decreased in value, but the value has been restored based on the fact that it is the most respectful tribute (instrument wise) to the lead guitarist in the worlds best rock group.
I personally feel that the signifigance is directly linked to who played it. Would 1958 325's be such a hot commodity if Lennon hadn't played one? No, they would just be vintage shortscale Ricks.
Same with Hofner. Had McCartney not played a hofner, it would just be an 'old violin looking thing'.
On that topic I'm extremely glad that McCartney and Harrison Chose those instruments, because Hofner basses are great, and Rick 12's are just fun to play (Yes I've played some).
I do see where you're coming from, Jeff. My point of view is more suited towards a Beatles Fan, compared to your's which is more suited to a Rickenbacker fan. I respect that you're sticking to the brand.
(Just on a side note, I intend to have a healthy debate, not an argument, no bad feeling are being vibed off here, right Jeff?)

Sorry, but Danelectro came out with the electric 12 string in 1961.IvanMunoz wrote:
