New holes drilled and the bridge mounted nice and straight and only about a mosquitos penis further forward than it originally was...

I think I'll call it done.

Yes, I'm going to go with Azureglo. There are too many repairs to the body to get away with a burst or translucent finish.

I reckon! I'll probably go and get the paint and clear next week. I only have to crown the frets (post levelling) and it's ready for paint...

Just read through the whole thread... very nice work. This should look great in Azureglo for sure.

FYI Ric didn't crown frets. They leveled after finishing to remove finish off the fret tops, and left them like that.

I re-fretted the bass though, so I levelled and crowned the frets before painting. I'll level them to remove the finish after I've painted it.

Wayne, I saw the other thread on paints/finishes ..... are you ready for the spraying now ? It should look mighty good in your selected shade of AzureGlo. This has been an enjoyable project, to watch the pictures unfold, step by step.

I got the colour on this afternoon. I have 24 hours to get the clear top coat on so will do that tomorrow morning. I'm pretty happy with the colour and they way it went on.
