Magical Mystery Tour Revisited on PBS, Dec 14th
Attention Beatles fans ....
A special look behind the scenes at MMT, including outtakes, interviews and analysis of the "controversy" when first broadcast by the BBC will be aired on PBS Great Performances on Friday evening December 14th
Its supposed to be the story behind the story of MMT, with the film fully restored with today's highest standards and enhanced soundtrack. Check you local PBS listings .....

Don't you have 6-8 PBS stations like the rest of us

My son and I are going to watch it. In the meantime, I'm going to try to find my pictures of going to Liverpool in the summer of 1985 and riding on the actual then-restored MMT bus that was giving Liverpool tours at that time.

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life, but the local (SoCal) PBS station re-aired this special last night with the movie. I thought I'd give a heads-up to anyone who missed it the first time.

Yeah, I watched the MMT special followed by the movie there on PBS-SoCal station on Saturday evening.
And the "remastered" or "restored" MMT film looks really good in High Definition.
That was after watching the Wings "Rock Show" film on the Palladia station earlier in the evening.
(And I thought Paul's Ric bass sounded pretty cool cutting through the mix on Rock Show).
I guess one could say I O.D.ed on McCartney-Beatles on Saturday !
