Can't believe I made a funamental error in the early stages of this thread....I must have overlooked the tuners..someone asked what the schaller tuners said on the back..'Made in Germany'...'Made in W.Germany' or 'Made in _Germany'...and I specified 'Made in Germany' which was wrong...I looked at them now (so many months later) and they are 'Made in W.Germany'....West Germany was unified in 1990 dating the tuners to pre-1990...
Assuming that the tuners would not be old stock that and given that the pots were made in 1988 and 1989..that dates the guitar around 1989 maybe 1990.....obviously unless all the parts were replaced by a doner guitar from that time..
