Alvarez Problems

Post by Folkie »

I have the action set very low on my Alvarez 12-string acoustic, and it's comfortable to play. I just noticed today that a few of the bridge pins have pulled loose. The bridge itself hasn't pulled off the body, so there is no re-glue necessary. Is it normal for the pins to pull upward or is there too much tension on the neck?

It sounds like maybe they're just not sitting right in the holes. Monkey with the positioning of the ball end and see if it helps.

Thanks, Jdog. I'll give it a try.
