Silvertone 1448

I got this today. It was made in '64. I remember back then being told that these were made out of cardboard.Iguess there is some truth to that,lol. Still a rock'n little guitar.
I really wanted a Rickenbacker like John's but I had no idea were to buy one in 1964.Where could you buy a Rickenbacker in Connecticut in the 60s? Maybe at "The Liverpool Shop" in Westport?

Nice!
I played one of those silvertones a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised--not only at the tone of the guitar, but also the in-case amp! It sounded good, was plenty loud enough for the bedroom, and had a sweet trem on it! Image

Masonite actually. These were made by Danelectro and sport the original lipstick tube pickups.
