V59 from 87

Just took delivery of a 325v59 - which I'm very, very pleased with!
The serial number dates it to November 1987 and it comes with an all black vintage case. I was just wondering if anyone knows when RIC introduced the silver vintages cases?

Not sure when they started using the silver cases,early 90's maybe,,but i had a 325V59 mapleglo from 1989 that came with a black case, but strangely it was not the short scale case!
Me thinks someone put it in a 350 case.
My 360/12V64 also came with a black case,bought new in 1989 also.

It seems around 1990/91 is when the silver cases came out, but don't quote me on that.

Certainly the V series came in vintage re-issue silver cases by '91.
My '91 360/12v63 has it's original silver

My January, 1991 381/12 came with a black tolex case. My 1993 381/6 came with a silver tolex case.

Seems like we're narrowing down the changeover from Black to Silver case. My '91 360/12v63 is from April
