Bells of Rhymney bridge section

Post by loverickbass »

Has anyone nailed down exactly what McGuinn is playing in the bridge section? I've learned to song but I'm having no luck on the bridge. Any help would be appreciated. :D

It's actually quite simple. McGuinn fingerpicks it, but you can do it just as well with a flatpick. There's a repeated lick from the 10th to the 12th frets, then a G-chord (choose whichever voicing you like), then an E-minor at the 7th fret, then an Edim7 for two measures to end the bridge. The tabs in this link are approximately right:

Just use your ear and feel free to correct what doesn't work. If you need help with the beginning, I'll tab it out for you.
