Heard from Billy Sherwood just a while ago that Chris has lost his battle with leukemia.... I'm just gutted.... Rest in peace, Chris....

Very sad. When I was a kid, I heard Roundabout and YYZ on the same day. Everything changed for me on that day. Godspeed Mr. Squire.

:(

When it was announced he was sick it sounded like he had a good prognosis. I guess it was a brave front.

RIP Chris. You influenced me more than words can say.

Unbelievably Saddened to hear this.
I can only hope to hear the sound of Chris,Entwhistle, and Jack Bruce thundering together through the heavens one day.

Dreadful news - Chris was the inspiration to me that caused me to buy a Rickenbacker 4001 at age 16 and learn to play it. No-one else shaped my understanding of the possibilities of the bass guitar as he did, and still does, and I have to admit that I'm choking back the tears on hearing this news. A true star has left this world today.

RIP Chris, and all condolences to his family and friends.

I am so sad.
But even more, my heart goes out to Scotty and his children.

Thank you for all of your gifts to us, Mr. Squire.

Absolutely devastating news!
Chris shaped the way that I hear music, and was such an undeniable, life-affirming force.
He's only ever made me smile, but I'm fighting the tears, as I type.
R.I.P. Yes - Chris was the very definition of irreplaceable.

I am terribly devastated. :(

I think Chris would like us to smile, laugh and enjoy his music, humor and memory.
I love this video of Chris telling his experience of meeting Jimi Hendrix.

We have lost one of the best. I am very saddened.

That soaring bass sound from "On The Silent Wings Of Freedom" was pretty much the reason why I became a Yes-head, and why I am here.

Thank you very much, Chris. You inspired.

This truly a very sad day for all of bassdom and of the music world, overall. ;(
