Hi! First of all: thanks to the admin for accepting me in this wonderful forum, and sorry if this topic infringes a rule; I used the search tool but couldn't find the answers to my questions so here I go:

Are all the guitars registered in this forum recognized as original? I ask this because I wan't to buy this one: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... 6order%3D5 and already contacted the seller, but I want your opinion.
Are there any specific features that I should consider to recognize if this is an authentic Ric?

It looks authentic to me from the pics.

Those of us who put "Collected items" into the register tend to be aware of the signs of fakes. If we spot anything off it goes into the comment section. If we are 100% sure it is fake then there is a tab that shows it.

We are particularly concerned about a fake instrument with a real RIC jackplate and SN like this one.

This is also why we track butchered parted out instruments.

No way to know 100% until it is in your hands if it is all original - but I would say your odds are very very good with that one.

Thanks, Brian. Your answer was really helpful! I've been trying to buy my first Ric for 2 years but didn't have any luck because here in Argentina it's very hard to find one, and now I'm heading to the US and MUST come back with one of these beauties.

Most of the "Rickenbackers" listed there are indeed fakes.

There is a tab in the Register that shows the RICS in a particular country BTW.

In the US, while there is still a problem with counterfeit instruments, the real thing is more common.

FIngers crossed that you find the RIC you are looking for while in the US.

I already contacted the owner of that particular guitar that I posted, but thanks anyway!

In a few days I'll be recieving it. Can't wait to put my hands on "her"!

I have a handful of Rickenbackers and within that bunch, the 350 has its own distinctive niche. I’d never want to be without it, regardless of how many other Ricks I may have.
