Curious question.

Has anyone ever done something to their guitar that seemed like a good idea (e.g. soldering work) and ended up regretting it later?

I dunno, could be anything  - although I asked my brother to help me with soldering pickups (after I swapped the positions around) on my guitar and the solder got a little messy - hopefully it can be cleaned up easily, I'm not too keen on having to replace an original pot...

Do you have solder wick? If you don't know what that is do a Google search and read up on it.

Yes, I've read up on what solder wick is - I'm thinking of taking it somewhere to get the wiring sorted out though... Luckily I know some good places around my area.

By the way, how worn/battle-scarred are your Rics? Whether they're accidental or not they have a story to tell... like the tape adhesive and replaced pots as well as the wear on my 330.

The two Ricks I have are in pristine condition.

Hope this helps.
