I wonder if Peter was influenced by this for the RRF logo, possibly?

Coud be, I never got into that so not familiar with the logo. When did that logo first appear anywhere?

I believe Tolkien started using it around 1912.

The Roycroft logo came into being a bit earlier! :shock:
The Roycroft insignia was borrowed from the monk Cassiodorus, a 13th-century bookbinder and illuminator.
