1977 toasters???
Let's say someone ordered a 360/12WB in 1977 and asked for toasters... was that a possibility? If so, would they have dimples in the corners of the black stripes?
Re: 1977 toasters???
I'm pretty sure toasters were available, and they would not have dimples (neither of my '73 4001s had dimples on their toasters).
Re: 1977 toasters???
Thanks! Thought so.
Since posting this, I've found further evidence that the guitar in question had all these mods done much much later - a mention of "scatterwound" reissue toasters even.

Scatterwounds are good.
Re: 1977 toasters???
Right, but I want to put this guitar back to the way it was originally. I've got enough toasters around; I could use a nice hi-gain-equipped 12er in the arsenal. Especially those old breadboard hi-gains! I have a pair of transitional hi-gains already... I might throw those in it!
Oh and I lifted the hood and found evidence of Rosa - no surprise! also "360/12 OS." even though it's a 24-fretter

I read that these are quite popular pickups to install in a Rick guitar, minimal mods required.jdogric12 wrote:Right, but I want to put this guitar back to the way it was originally.
