Re: Rickenbacker 100year Anniversary Model
You'd have to say goodbye to the contours on the "top" (front") as they did on the 4004LK!

Obviously a frying pan
Though in all seriousness, a reissue of those weird uprights they made way back in the day would be cool
Re: Rickenbacker 100year Anniversary Model
I’m in the minority who actually finds the bound bodies more comfortable than the unbound ones, so the body would be uncontoured, like on a 4001/4003. Think the LK.

Yep. Wouldn’t bother me tbh.bassduke49 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 11:01 am You'd have to say goodbye to the contours on the "top" (front") as they did on the 4004LK!
Re: Rickenbacker 100year Anniversary Model
I would.
I mean presumably it would have less feedback than piezo-based electric uprights.
Re: Rickenbacker 100year Anniversary Model
.495" Neck Pickup siting, which I'm reliably told is right where Fret # 24 would be.
Mahogany necks w/EHRM wings.

Re: Rickenbacker 100year Anniversary Model
How about a guitar made to pretty much the same specs as the 4005XC?
Guitarist in one of my bands would about die if he could get an amber fireglo, CB binding six string matching my 4005XC.

There's always the headstock, edges of the fretboard, and around the pickups and jackplate...
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: Rickenbacker 100year Anniversary Model
Tsk, tsk! You forgot about around the bridge, and concentric circles arounds the knobs and selector switch.rickenbrother wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 9:19 pmThere's always the headstock, edges of the fretboard, and around the pickups and jackplate...

No, I didn't forget, I just didn't want to keep typing. That's why I ended the sentences with "..." Besides, how gaudy do you want it?:Pjps wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 8:05 amTsk, tsk! 360-12 old style with checkerboard binding, 1 3/4 inch nut, and toasterbuckers.

Re: the 4004, here's my idea . . .
the Darkstar Laredo!
Jetglo 4004, EBONY fingerboard (Bonus points for lacquered, JH), Jazz Bass control suite.
Even streaked Macassar Ebony might be worth a try.
