Pickup pole screws?

Post by CoryB »

I recently bought a 330W and love it but the G-string sounds a bit louder than any of the others. I tried to adjust the hex screw under that string but I can’t get it to move. None of the others move either. Aren’t the pole screws supposed to be adjustable on these high gain pickups? If not, why are there hex heads on them?

Stick a soldering iron on top of the pole piece hex head for a few seconds to warm it up, then try unscrewing it with an allen key. It'll move...
