Is that a 360V12 or just a 6 string in front of McGuinn? Looks like a MapleGlo as well....

Must be a 12 as it has 3 pups on it... what model is that?

It's a 370/12RM (Roger McGuinn Limited Edition). You can tell by the 5 equally-sized control knobs. The guitar is Mapleglo with a rounded top.
"But the man has a 47-string guitar." (Grace Slick on Paul Kantner's attempt to tune his 366/12 during a Winterland show of October 31 1969).

Jon,
On the Box Set, Hillman is Not doing all the bass on it, and it is Not all done on that V 63 bass. How do I know? Because John Jorgenson, who was at those sessions, personally told me about it. John plays bass on "Love that never dies".And he was using a G and L bass on that one.Not sure about Chris on a Rick bass in that video,[the "She Don't Love Nobody"] but I know in one Desert Rose video, Chris is using a Mapleglo doublebound 60s 360 or 365 that belongs to John. For sure Chris has the V 63 on the Orbison
Tribute.

I stated on an eariler post here that I was glad not to see snow. I've been off the road for a couple of years since then, and now that picture Don posted looks real refreshing! Both basses look real cool.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

This question is Related to the beautiful Hillman's basses and also the issue of the model 1999 Fireglow-Limited Editionfor those Rickenbacker affectionados out there that follow the recent trends and additions..
I noticed the model 1999FG-LE is sporting a "FINGER REST".. This is what the Rose Morris models were issued in 1964.. I would like to acquire one.. Does anyone know where to get one or where Rickenbacker finds them?
Any assist would be appreciated.. :?

Fascinating thread guys, thanks for the share!

Crosby did briefly play a Rick 370/6 (Jetglo) for a spell in early 1966.

I have yet to find out if he used it on any recordings.

Best, Christian
