There are a number of interesting points to be made about Sie Liebt Dich and Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand. The first point is that both of these songs charted in Germany when popular releases by other groups also recorded in German did not. Perhaps more interesting is the claim that these songs were both sung by Paul only as John was apparently unable to learn the German. So it's back to the recordings. What do you think?

Sir Paul seems to be more talented in foreign languages than John was, he talks a lot in German on German telly, not perfect, but ok. (On one of the session when they played Get Back he did a part of it in German, something like "Geh raus aus deinem Haus" (go out of your house). They say John tried to sing Sie Liebt Dich and Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand in German, but he didn't make it. You know, Paul sang that French part in Michelle, I think John never would have done this.

They had a third one in German: GLÜCKLICH WIE NOCH NIE (which means "Happy As Never Before") and this should have been the German version of I'll Get You, the flipside of She Loves You, I think. They had the German lyrics written by someone, but they didn't record it as far as I know.
(This seems not to be the right place here, but I'm a HUGE Jeff Lynne fanatic, and he also has some German lyrics on his ELO records, not sung by himself but the choir. And as we know today he also sometimes uses a Rick!)
