Horseshoe pickup magnets

Post by rickfan60 »

Do any of the steels have magnets that are similar to the magnets in a vintage Rick bass pickup? I have a vintage pickup that is missing a magnet and was wondering if I could find a replacement in the hardware of a damaged steel.

Yes I have a 7 string lap slide from the late 30's
what do you want to know about it?

The prewar magnets are not the same as the postwar magnets.
Please post a photo of your 7 string.
