- I was told this guitar was the demo/prototype 660 that was introduced at NAMM 1998. The Tom Petty 12-string limited edition ceased production in December 1997, and this was supposedly a body left over from the TP run that was made of the last of the TP birdseye maple boardstock. Exceptionally fine condition, plays like a dream, no issues. As you can see, this guitar is set up correctly with the string ball ends under the tailpiece instead of on top of the tailpiece.
