     Butchered and needs fixing:

    The bad news. It needs its truss rods replaced, per 2), below.

    1) at some point in the past, the neck was repaired up by the headstock. It is a VERY solid, stable repair, as detailed below. Due to this repair, the original finish paint up on the upper neck and headstock area was sprayed over with black paint. The finish job could have been better.

    So; neck repair, great. Finish job, not great.



    2) Truss rods won't adjust.

    I will explain the situation. At some point in the past, before I owned it, the guitar sustained some kind of a headstock impact, or something, which is surely why the upper neck and headstock have been refinished. If you look closely at the photos, you'll see that the original fireglo paint is still on the headstock, but black paint has been sprayed over it
