"Here is the story for the TearDrop Rick : during the very early seventies, one of the first independant studios was created, near Paris, at Hérouville. The Studio Chateau D'Hérouville. Many musicians recorded there. Bill Wyman, David Bowie, Elton John, The Bee Gees, etc... II contacted by e-mail the guy who was selling this guitar. He told me I was late and the Rick was already sold. But he told me it came from Chateau D'Hérouville collection, (he was the engineer) and sent me few pics of other Ricks. And I saw that incredible TearDrop.
He explained me later that he made TWO Ricks with ONE...
He owned a 362/12 (I'm not sure of the model, but this is one with two necks). He knew a very good luthier and told him he'd like to have a TearDrop Rick. And that was done... The result was a 12-string custom and this incredible TearDrop.
He visited the Rick factory in the US and bought knobs and other pieces to finish it.
