- The original pickups were replaced and the person who modified it did not do a very good job. They were either in a hurry or not very skilled. The neck is through body and it looks like the seams may have been seperating and reglued as shown in pictures 5 and 6. There are various dings and wear. The guitar tunes up and sounds real good. The neck is good and really easy to play. These are the reasons I bought the guitar. I wanted to make a project of restoring it but I just don't have the time and have to let it go. The bridge is stamped JK 330 which leads me to believe that it is from 1970, however the person that I bought it from said that he purchased it around 1971 or 72 and the pick ups had already been replaced. The white pick guard is painted in crazy colors making me wonder what stories this ax would tell if only someone could make it talk.
