     The guitar has been modified, but I would say it has been upgraded, with all original Rickenbacker parts, to a more "vintage" spec. If your looking for that "Harrison" look and sound, THIS is the guitar for you!!! It has a pair of Rickenbacker Scatterwound "Toaster" pickups (instead of the Hi-Gains), a vintage "trapeze" tailpiece (as opposed to the 'R' tailpiece), and 'vintage' control knobs. Note: The original 'silver and black' control knobs are included as well, though not pictured.

    The body itself is in VERY GOOD condition. It has a nice FireGlo finish, but it's not Rickenbacker's best finish job to be perfectly honest. You can see some 'overspray' on the finish if you look real close...I guess their quality control was not as 'tight' in 1977! There are some minor scratches and scuffs on the finish, as well as a few dings on the top of the guitar, all from normal wear. Also, the headstock has a few scratches, especially where the guitar is strung (see picture). But, for a 1977, it's in pretty amazing shape!! The pictures really do capture the color and the beauty of this guitar.
