- This is a beautiful 1977 Rickenbacker 4002 4-string bass in a rare Maple. It is all original and in great condition but has a small chip near one of the tunner and one on back of neck. The serial number is QJ4452 which shows that this guitar was made in October 1977. I bought the bass in spring of 1978, played it for a little bit and stuffed it away. Bass has never been gigged in clubs or played very much. If you know anything about these bass' they are far and few between.
