- I purchased this bass in May, 2009 and replaced the non-Rickenbacker tailpiece and bridge assembly with actual Rickenbacker replacement parts. When I purchased the replacement parts from Rickenbacker I purchased the rear pickup cover from them so it is also not original. Everything else looks to be original but the pickguard looks to have been painted white as there is a finger print above the neck pickup, not sure why. The pickguard also is cracked above the neck pickup from the pickup hole to the outside edge of the pickguard. The guitar does have nicks and scratches typical of a 33 year old guitar but plays, sounds and looks great.
