- Butchered in NJ Ebay 400696476041 and 400696476084
This 4001 is all original with the exception of the bridge and tuners. Due to early 4001 bridges being hard to intonate I switched out the bridge for a Leo Quan Baddass Bass 2. I do not have the original bridge. The tuners were also switched out for smoother ones which I can’t remember the brand of. I can guarantee they tune better than the originals. All of this work was done professionally by John Carruthers in his famous Venice, California shop.As can be seen from the pictures, the bridge pickup guard is missing like so many 4001s from this era.
