This bass was used by Greg Stirling in the original 80's hard rock band Tanis. It was the main guitar used for all of his rehearsing, recording and gigging with Tanis. This guitar has been hot-rodded with a Star Drive preamp, Active Bartolini Pickups, pro volume controls, custom knobs, 6 position switch, and heavy duty pick guard by Stars Guitars in San Francisco. A battery case has recently been added to the back along with a pro set up and alignment. The bridge has a string dampener when deployed sounds just like an upright bass - perfect for jazz. There are two small holes on the top seen in the photo that were used to attach a pitch to midi pickup. There is an area on the back that is worn through the finish, again - just gigging and wearing the guitar. Original frets show some wear, as you would expect - but are still very playable. Original vintage Grover tuners, and original hard case.

Seller says bass is Walnut - pictures suggest it is Burgundy
