"Happy 30th Birthday (sometime this month) to "ol' Blue" - the Rickenbacker 330 that was Todd's primary instrument during most of the Cavedog years. Its serial number dates it to April 1985, when Todd had it ordered from Rickenbacker in order to obtain one this color, known as Azureglo in Rick terminology. (As it turned out, Azureglo was discontinued later in 1985, making this guitar one of the last produced in this color.) It was sold after the band broke up, then purchased a few years later by a Cavedogs fan in the Boston area. Guitar and guitarist were reunited for the shows in 2002 and 2014. The current owner vows to ensure it stays in "the family", one way or another. Long may she rock!"
