- It is said to have belonged to Mike Mills from REM. I have no proof to back this up. I used to have 8x10 photos of him playing the bass with the modified pick up configuration and purchased the bass from an old REM roadie. First and foremost this is a project bass. All the main parts are here and in working order. Only thing you'll need is screws and strings. the photos say it all. Its in decent shape given its age. its spent the last 20+ years since i purchased it in 1998 in its case.
