This Rickenbacker 4001 bass is a stunning vintage 1966 instrument with all original hardware. It was in pretty rough shape when I found it so it got a full-on refinish by legendary Rickenbacker Luthier Dale Fortune (shop foreman for Rickenbacker back in the 70's). It sounds and plays like a dream and it has a tone that no modern instrument can replicate...you know the one!
This Deluxe model bass has all of the classic features that you want. The checkerboard binding, full width shark tooth crushed pearl inlays, missing tooth bridge and horseshoe pickup with a solid charge, nice narrow nut and fat headstock. She has nice low action, plenty of fret life and a clean fingerboard with no rutting to speak of.
