- Artificial SN; Jackplate has no SN; pots date to 48th week of 1958; non-pro refin, new tuners, guards, knobs, frets and dot markers on fretboard.
This '58 Rickenbacker came from the factory Autumn-glo. Original parts are: Body, truss rod cover, both pickups, bridge, bridge plate, wiring harness, pots (48th week of 58), tailpiece. Yes, some did come from the factory with assorted tailpieces such as this. New tuners, new guards, knobs, switch tip. Larry Davis recent re-fret and he also replaced the fret markers. The others were in poor shape. Very nice player. Someone in the last 58 years decided to refinish it (non pro) to more of a maple-glo or honey-glo. Now....the missing serial number.....I bought it that way from Parkway Music in NY bak in 2011. Someone cut off the serial number off of the backplate and engraved "RANDY".
