- A vintage conversion of a modern bass, this 4003S has been given nearly all of the features of a 4001v63 in order to make a tribute to the timeless 4001S bass if the 1960's.
Below is a list of modifications:
- reissue horseshoe pickup
- 4001v63 gap tooth bridge
- custom pickguard and acrylic tugbar
- vintage-spec wiring harness (250k volume pot and 500k -- tone pot, .0047 microFarad bridge cap)
- small diameter ferrules for tuners
- slotted-head screws that mount the horseshoe surround,
-tuners, and jack plate
- vintage-style knurled strap buttons
- vintage-style knobs
An acrylic truss rod cover was not included in order to maintain the same aspect ratio of the truss rod cover length to the headstock leng
