- I bought this in 1971, I was 16. Last time I saw it,(1981) it had an ebony fingerboard, no fret markers, a Mustang tailpiece (strings thru body) a hole carved in the middle for a Precision pickup, and was refinished tobacco sunburst. The top wing of the body broke off due to a 6 ft. fall to an arena floor. It was glued back on a tad crooked. I'd love to see it again.
