- Here's a description of the repair…
There were two cracks running down each side of the neck. Fortunately, they were clean breaks and they glued back together nicely without issue. You can’t even see the repaired cracks! Someone tried to replace the original rods with Gibson style truss rods. Vintage Rickenbacker hair pin truss rods were re-installed. The back of the neck was re-finished…a perfect color match! The body finish is original.
Also, there were two tiny nail holes that were filled in the middle of the second fret and below the 21st fret.
Every component is original except for the R tailpiece, frets and truss rods.
