Hi There,
Bill Mumy here. This photo
is my beloved fireglo Rick 360 six string. It's the very first electric
guitar I ever purchased. It's a '68. I bought it new from the Guitar Center
on the Sunset Strip in '68 with a 4X10 Standell amp. I still have both to
this day. That guitar is currently set up as a "Nashville tuned high
strung", and it rings like a bright autoharp. I recently used it on one of
four new songs recorded for "Yeah: The Essential Barnes & Barnes" which will
be released May 9th on Oglio records. I also have a 360 WB 12 string in fireglo, that
I've used on many recordings, (it's one of the first ones they reissued. I
put a McGuinn bridge on it.) I have a great 4001 bass, that is a gorgeous
Autumnglo. It was used extensively on the second Jenerators CD, "Hitting
the Silk" Varese Sarabande, '98, and has also been featured on many Barnes
and Barnes recordings. I also own a '49 Rickenbacher bakelite lap steel
guitar that I used on one of the four new B & B songs.
I have owned many many other Rickenbackers in my day, but currently those are
the ones in my arsenal.
John Hall has always been nice to me, and the folks at Rickenbacker have
helped me out over the years when I needed something fixed or replaced. I've
used Ricks on many different projects including my studio work with
"America".
Long live the jangle.
Peace,
Bill Mumy
