Peter Quaife's Rickenbacker Comments

"Hey, Peter. I got your message from Dave Emlen about you wanting to know about my Rickenbacker. It's red. When I left the Kinks, Ray tried to walk off with everything I used on stage, guitars, amplifiers, clothes etc. etc. The only thing I managed to keep was the Ricky. I am still playing it - mostly because all the bass players in southern Ontario just come to drool over it. It is a very nice instrument! I use flat wound strings because it gives me the ability to slide some of the notes cleanly. I love the neck because I have small hands (I only became the bass player because I chose the short matchstick) and the sound is always perfection. God I love this instrument! regards, Peter Quaife"
