Re: Total Rickenbackers on the RRF!

Haven't posted in a long time.

May I add a 360DCM and a 330, which brings us to 867.

I would agree that the 330 has some great overdriven sounds, its just that I find the neck not the best for bends. I expect that something in the 650 line would work. i once saw a photo of John Mayall playing one covered with a weird paint job. I guess if its good enough for him it is certainly good ...

A Rick for blues

I have long thought that Ricks get an unfair rap on their utility. But what would be a good Rick for the blues. I was thinking of one of the humbucker models but will never find one to play without buying first. What are the necks like I like a little thivkness to the necks. can you get a good big ...

I have always wanted a 381 but he who hesitates is lost.

Nevertheless when compared to the prices of some Gibsons which may well have lower quality, we can't complain too much

I just got it and had time only to listen to about 1/3 of it. First, sonically this is a great recording. Everyone knows the original CD mixes left something to be desired, particularly after some other bands from that ers have remixed their stuff (Stones, SACD remixes from ABKCO or some Who stuff ...

My favorite quote about the Beatles was from Mick Jagger:

"if the Stones broke up we wouldn't be so bitchy about it."

If Paul were dead it might throw a real monkey wrench into the current divorce proceedings. Instead of being married to a man worth 1.6 billion Heather finds out she married to a guy impersonating Paul and only making wages for doing it.

Steve:
I wasn't saying you pirated anything and am not taking sides is this dispute. Just saying that I don't approve of pirated stuff whether its software, CD's, musical gear, whatever. I hope you and Mr. Hall settle your issues since you both appear to be interested in making musical equipment ...

Thanks for the POD settings John, I'll try that also. And by the way love the 360 75thA. Great color, etc.

Interesting thread both on the gear and the politics of the situation. I have no idea if the Jangle Box is like the RM circuit. I have a jangle Box, and it is a great compressor. Haven't heard McQuinn play his RM live since I saw the Byrds live in the day. But if it is a pirated design I would never ...

I have a 340 and recently got a 360 75th annie. That of course got me thinking do I really need two guitars that similar in the pups department. I am trying to define the difference by playing each side by side. And while I am not ready to put in so many words yet I do find a subtle difference there.

Mine is in the house and it is wonderful. A little darker color than I anticipated but very rich looking. The special pickguard and TRC are perfect. Will post a more detailed review and photos, gotta go play.

Yes, I have a tracking number, it is due here on the 24th. I feel really bad if I got yours John as I ordered late from Grayson's when I could not score one from my local dealer. But I hope you and everyone will take it as a hopeful sign that they are getting built and shipped
