I use the V-Amp 2 with my 620's. Start with Preset 'E' on Bank 11. Change the Effect selector to Chorus+Comp(compression). I've found this to be a good starting point for the sort of sound you're after, though it's obviously a personal deal. I get great results from the V-Amp... enjoy it ...
