Suggestions for Rickenbacker repair in CT/RI/Mass region?

Hi:

The person who handled my Rickenbackers for many years just passed away. Could any member recommend a trusted and knowledgeable guitar tech who knows about Rics?

Thanks,

Karl

360/12 C63

Hi, everyone: Has anyone played or bought this "C" Series Rickenbacker 12-string guitar? Apparently, it has different bracing and sounds different from the 360-12. I am considering buying a new 12-strig Ric and I would like to know: 1) Do the NEW 360-12s still give that 1960s "jingle-...

Rickenbacker riff

Hi, everyone: I just discovered "Let My People Go"-- by Roger. It is in the Folk Den and it features a great 12-string Rickenbacker riff several times throughout the song. I have it MOSTLY figured out-- but not the whole thing accurately! If my ears are not deceiving me, I think that the w...

Re: Eight Miles High

Thanks, everyone. I do have the McGuinn 12-string video and I saw his lesson. It's mostly how he plays Eight Miles High today-- not the 1966 recording. He does show briefly how he went up and down the E scale!! :D

Eight Miles High

Hi:

Does anyone out there know which scale "Eight Miles High" is in? I realize it is a type of E minor, but is it "pentatonic" or "dorian" or something else???

Thanks,

Karl

Re: Ric repairman

Hi, Al: I haven't seen you in quite a while!!! The summer was extremely busy and crazy!!! I had used Thomastik-Infeld strings on my LERM (RM 370-12) for about a year. I also kept the strings at concert pitch-- not a half step down!!! Then, I finally decided to try what Roger McGuinn has been advocat...

Re: Best multi-effects pedal or amp modeler for Rickenbacker

Jeff The Strymon pedals, especially the Big and Blue Sky, are absolutely gorgeous in their lush reverbs. I love listening to the videos on You Tube. BUT, could ANY of the Strymon pedals be used to play Byrds or Beatles? I have heard the sound samples of the Strymon compressor on the company website....

Best multi-effects pedal or amp modeler for Rickenbackers?

Hi, all: Years ago, Roger McGuinn used a Line6 POD for his live performances-- British Blues setting. I bought the Line6 POD 1.0 about 15 years ago and it sounded great. Then, a few years ago, I bought the 2.0 version-- which I did not like as much. Of course, the best compressor of all are the vari...

Re: Ric repairman

Well, I finally took my Rickenbackers to Mouradian Guitars in Winchester, Mass. EVERYTHING that EVERYONE has written about Jim and John is absolutely TRUE! Jim was extremely knowledgeable. He told me on the phone that he LOVES Rickenbackers and that he has worked on them for decades. He is the BEST ...
